Based in Switzerland since more than 35 years, Comelec SA is a European leader in Parylene Coating Technologies. Parylene is a conformal polymer coating deposited from a vacuum process. It benefits from a unique synergy of outstanding material properties (barrier properties, chemical stability, biocompatibility, insulating properties, etc…) and process advantages (near 100% conformal on 3D shapes, room temperature process).
Comelec offers deposition services and equipment manufacturing for a large field of applications which require high performance encapsulation (electronics, medical devices, sensors, magnets and ferrites, micromechanics…).
With a strong involvement in R&D projects, Comelec intends to be a key partner for its customers. R&D activities focus on both new Parylene based coatings with added functionalities (e.g. antimicrobial, high barrier) and process development for customer support.
