International Conference on Resource Chemistry – ICRC 2021
The aim of the event is to discuss current developments in resource chemistry. In times of increasing pressure on industry and politics with respect to environmental protection and climate change, material sciences and chemistry have to join forces to provide answers to some of the world‘s most challenging technological tasks. Under the aspect to secure and provide indispensable materials in a limited environment, this conference will specifically focus on applied resource chemistry and new recycling technologies.
The conference aims to cover a wide range of research areas, from the substitution of critical elements, to the development of sustainable materials, and the establishment of efficient material life cycles. The ICRC will tackle these challenges and bring together scientists and experts from various fields such as resource & green chemistry, biology, environmental science & technology, as well as material sciences. Admission is free.
Within the framework of the conference, an online roundtable is planned for March 10, 2021 for a DFG Priority Program „Resource Chemistry – Sustainable Cycles for Materials (SuCyMat)“. The priority program aims for a theory and sustainability assessment based material design, resource and energy efficient materials production and use as well as closing the loops by innovative materials recycling processes.
The program will be structured in three interrelated parts:
A – Resource Efficient Materials Production
B – Simulation and Assessment Guided Materials Design
C – Development of Sustainable Functional Materials
Call for Papers – submit your abstract until February 10, 2021
Participate in the digital poster session with a short presentation, use the ICRC as a platform to exchange project ideas and become part of the DFG Priority Program. More information and abstract submission at: https://s.fhg.de/ICRC2021! Participation is free.
