ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
New abstract submission deadline: 25th September, 2020
Abstract length: Website submissions are limited to 3.000 characters. (only plain text, no figures, no formulae…)
Note: All abstracts must be submitted via E-MRS website at www.european-mrs.com
Submitting abstracts via the E-MRS is very easy and convenient. Follow the step-by-step instructions on the template, making sure that complete mailing address information is included for the presenting and contact authors. After submitting your abstract, please use the given Control ID number in all communications with E-MRS regarding the abstract UNTIL a paper number (e.g., A 8) is assigned. After that date, any change must be submitted to: emrs@european-mrs.com (Subject: Abstract Revision) and must include your Control ID number. Please state exactly where the revisions are located (e.g., title, author, body, etc)
Authors will be notified of acceptance and the mode of presentation of their paper by September 29th, 2020.
BOOK OF ABSTRACTS
All abstracts of the meeting presentation (invited + posters) will be assembled as two-pages-extended-abstracts in the book of abstract which will be available for all participants as pdf-Download.
INVITED PRESENTATIONS
Invited presentation (duration = 25 minutes, including 5-10 minutes discussion) will be pre-recorded. E-MRS will provide guidelines and (on request) technical support. The live stream of the talk will be carried out according to the program schedule. The discussion of the invited presentations will be carried out live in the frame of the virtual meeting by oral live questions/answers and live chat.
POSTER PRESENTATIONS
All posters presentations (3 minutes) will be pre-recorded and need to be sent to E-MRS by September 30 at the latest. E-MRS will provide guidelines and (on request) technical support. The format of the presentations will be up to five slides in FULL-HD resolution dimension (i.e.: 1. Title, authors, affiliations, 2. Introduction, 3. Results, 4. Discussion, 5. Summary, references, acknowledgements). The five slides will be merged by E-MRS to an upright poster which will be provided to all participants on display as pdf-File. The discussion of the poster presentations will be carried out through chat. In addition, for the live poster session, all posters will be put on display. Print out and display of the posters of the virtual meetings attendees is included in the registration fee.
All Live sessions of the invited and poster presentations will be on display for the participants for additional three days after the workshop.
MANUSCRIPTS AND PROCEEDINGS
All participants are invited to publish their work as a full paper in the open-access-journal Nanomaterials by MDPI.
J. Nanomaterials (ISSN 2076-4991) is an international and interdisciplinary scholarly open access journal that publishes papers in the field of nanomaterials. J. Nanomaterials is dedicated to a high scientific standard. The latest Impact Factor is 4.324. In 2019, the journal published 1876 articles.
(submission deadline: December 10, 2020).
REGISTRATION
All participants (including chairpersons, authors, presenting authors, invited speakers, scientific committee members…) must register online (abstract submission and conference registration are separate items and are not linked).
Online registration will be possible until October 6th, 2020.
REGISTRATION FEES
Abstract acceptation does not mean registration: each author attending the conference must register separately.
Registration fees:
- Regular: 100 EUR
- Student: 40 EUR
- Invited speakers: FREE
- Participants in 9th European School for Young Materials Scientists: FREE
We only accept payment by credit card.
E-MRS is a non-profit organization, no subject to VAT.
CANCELLATION
In case the symposium is cancelled, the attendees will be entitled to claim the reimbursement of the registration fee. In order to receive a refund, cancellation requests must be in writing and sent by September 30, 2020 which will cause a €25 processing fee.
