CEA (Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission), is a French public research organisation and a European key player (+760 projects in FP7), in the fields of low-carbon energies, ICT, health technologies, defence& global security, as well as very large research infrastructures. With 16000 scientists, engineers, and support staff in 10 research centers throughout France, CEA benefits from strong regional implantation. Furthermore, through its strong collaborations with university and academic labs (+50 joint laboratories, +1500 PhD, +300 Postdocs) and industrial partners (+500 industrial partnerships), it supports industrial companies and the launch of many innovative technology startups (+10 per year).
