In Memoriam, Professor Henry Homayoun Radamson

It is with profound sadness that the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) learned of the sudden passing of Professor Henry H. Radamson on 12 August 2026. He was 63 years old.
Professor Henry Homayoun Radamson was a highly respected scientist and a dedicated researcher whose work contributed significantly to the advancement of materials science and semiconductor technologies. He was an intercultural facilitator of research in Europe and China. Throughout his career, he was driven by scientific curiosity, search for innovation, and a strong belief in the potential of research to improve people's lives.
Just hours before his passing, Professor Radamson shared with his research team the hope that his scientific research would contribute to saving more lives and, ultimately, help humanity. He wished that the team would continue to pursue the development of cutting-edge medical devices and diagnostics, areas to which he remained deeply committed.
His wish characterizes the spirit that guided Professor Radamson throughout his career: a commitment to scientific excellence and a conviction that research should ultimately serve society and humanity.
