Join us as at the 2026 E-MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit which will be held from May 25 to 29 at the Convention & Exhibition Centre in Strasbourg (France) - a leading forum for scientists and engineers to exchange information and ideas at the forefront of Materials research.

We invite you to share your research in one or more of 24 symposia within 4 topical clusters:

  • Thin films: from growth to processing and applications
  • Materials for sustainable energy and sensing
  • Materials and technologies for photonics and electronics
  • Hybrid, functional and polymeric materials for various applications (biomedical, cultural heritage, sustainability
The deadline to submit an abstract is set for Wednesday January 21, 2026 (23:59, Paris). In fairness to all potential authors, late abstracts will not be accepted.

Papers will be selected by the scientific committee of each symposium. Authors will be notified of acceptance and mode of presentation by March 6 at the latest.

Abstract length: Web submissions are limited to 3.000 characters (including spaces, only plain text, no figures, no formulae...).

Multiple submissions are allowed. There is no fee to submit an abstract.

Submitting abstracts via the E-MRS website is easy and convenient.

  1. Log in to your submitter account available HERE or create a new one;
  2. Follow the easy step-by-step instructions on the template, making sure that complete mailing address information is included for the presenting and contact authors.

Because major revisions may affect a symposium organizer’s decision to accept your abstract, please review it carefully before submission.

The online submission center enables to save an abstract as a draft and submit it later on. Authors are able to revise their abstracts up to and including the submission deadline of January 21. Contributions saved as draft only will not be considered in the selection process.

Do not miss the opportunity to share your work at one of the largest materials research conference in Europe!
