Synthesis and characterization of functional nanocomposite materials

Advanced functional nanocomposite materials are on the research frontier owing to their outstanding characteristics and have opened new horizons in a vast range of applications in different fields including energy, environment, sensor, and biomedical field.

Scope:

In recent years, advanced functional nanocomposite materials have received significant academic and industrial attention. As a new class of innovative material, functional nanocomposites exhibit attractive chemical and physical properties as compared to traditional inorganic and organic materials.

This symposium will bring together leading international academicians, scientists/ researchers, and industrialists from various backgrounds (chemists, physicists, materials scientists, ceramicists, engineers, metallurgists, nanoscience, and nanotechnologist) to discuss current and emerging trends in the synthesis and characterization of advanced functional nanocomposite materials and explore new research directions and frontiers.

The symposium will discuss the controlling or tuning of physical and chemical properties of these advanced functional nanocomposites by a broad set of parameters such as size, dimensionalities, shape/morphology, chemical compositions of nanoparticles, concentration, nanoparticle dispersion level, nanoparticle-matrix interaction, etc. Emphasis will be specified on innovative design and preparation routes of a new class of functional nanocomposite materials with further improved properties. In addition, there will be a detailed discussion on the challenges and solutions for the preparation and characterization of an industrial required a new class of functional nanocomposite materials.

Recent advances in a new class of functional nanocomposites with extraordinary chemical and physical properties based on nanoparticles such as semiconductor nanoparticles/quantum dots, metal nanoparticles, metal oxides nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes, and two-dimensional nanostructured materials (graphene, hexagonal boron nitrides, MXene, transition metal dichalcogenides, perovskites), etc. will be covered in this symposium. The symposium will discuss a wide range of properties, including the mechanical, optical, magnetic, tribological, flame & thermal, anticorrosive, rheological, biocompatibility, antimicrobial features, electronic and electrical properties of nanocomposites.

This symposium will provide a platform for discussion on the promising application of functional nanocomposites in the field of electronic, energy storage devices, biosensors, gas sensors, optoelectronic devices, aeronautics & aerospace, automotive, anti-corrosive coatings, printing industries, biomedical, microwave absorption, etc.
