Materials for Energy & Sustainability

A

Materials Innovations and Processing, Advanced characterization, Recycling and Modelling for the different battery systems: Exploring New Frontiers for a Sustainable Future

The development of advanced energy materials is now more important than ever due to the growing demand for sustainable and efficient energy solutions worldwide. In this symposium on energy materials innovations for diverse battery systems, we pave the way for a high-performance sustainable future and explore new frontiers in energy materials. The symposium will provide a dynamic forum for scientists, engineers and business executives to get together and exchange their most recent research results, cutting-edge innovations, and innovative concepts.

Scope:

There is an increasing need to power a growing number of different portable electronic devices in the scope of the digitization and mobility of society. Further, the uptake of electric vehicles, among other pertinent application areas, including stationary batteries to support the energy transition, necessitates advancements in energy storage system research and technology. In this sense, batteries are among the most suitable systems for a range of applications, and the primary force behind scientific advancements in the field is the employment of novel materials and material combinations in the various battery components. Thus, improved safety and reduced environmental impact are being considered in addition to battery performance.

This symposium, which takes into account both theoretical and practical approaches, focuses on the development of improved batteries for battery systems in this rich and dynamic setting.
