OMetal Halide Perovskites for Opto-Electronic Applications
This symposium will focus on metal halide perovskite semiconductors and their application in thin film based photovoltaic and LED applications. The symposium will address topics, such as preparation methods, degradation pathways, passivation of defects, in-situ analysis, cell and module architectures, charge transport materials, encapsulation, stability and light management methods.
Scope:
This symposium will explore recent advances in metal halide perovskite semiconductors, with a focus on their integration into thin-film photovoltaic and light‑emitting device technologies. It will bring together fundamental and applied research addressing the chemical, structural, and optoelectronic properties that define perovskite performance and reliability.
Key topics include innovative preparation and deposition methods for high‑quality perovskite layers, as well as mechanistic insights into degradation pathways under thermal, electrical, mechanical, and environmental stressors. Contributions on defect passivation strategies—including molecular additives, interface engineering, and compositional tuning—are welcomed to highlight approaches for enhancing material and device stability.
The symposium will also emphasize in‑situ and operando characterization techniques that reveal dynamic processes during film formation, illumination, or device operation. Advances in device and module architectures for both solar cells and LEDs, along with progress in charge transport materials, encapsulation solutions, and light‑management strategies, will form an essential part of the program.
Overall, the symposium aims to provide a comprehensive platform for discussing pathways toward scalable, stable, and high‑efficiency perovskite-based optoelectronic technologies, bridging fundamental science with practical implementation.
Hot topics to be covered by the symposium:
- Stability and Degradation Mechanisms
- Perovskite PV to Scale: Scalable Thin Film Fabrication Methods
- Perovskite multi‑junction PV: Bandgap Engineering and Device Architectures
- From Tandem to Triple Junctions
